If you plan to visit Vancouver soon and find yourself asking, “Where should I eat?”, then you are in the right place. I worked remote for a week in Vancouver with my foodie friends, and we got in some remarkably delicious bites while I was there! Join me as I recount each scrumptious outing.
Restaurant & Cafe Highlights
- Earnest Ice Cream
- What to get: Scoops of whiskey hazelnut and blackberry coriander (summer seasonal flavor) – Definitely try their seasonal flavor! Best ice cream I’ve had so far. I hope they bring it back next summer.
- Caffe La Tana
- What to get: Whipped ricotta, burrata, and any of their pastas. Ask for their pasta specials!
- If you have one restaurant to go to while you’re in Vancouver, go here and then go to Earnest afterwards for dessert!
- Fiorino
- What to get: Must get the fried dough with cheese and prosciutto appetizer. This is the one dish that made my friend break her diet and say it was worth it.
- My friends and I got a bunch of different dishes to share, but the star takeaway was the appetizer mentioned above.
- Angus T Bakery & Café
- What to get: Coffee and a croissant (both sweet and savory options are available).
- This had to be the flakiest croissants I have had outside of France.
- Fife Bakery
- What to get: Porridge sourdough bread – I loved the texture of this type of sourdough.
- My friend bought a loaf to make avocado toast for morning breakfast.
- Paragon Tea Room
- What to get: Matcha latte or Hojicha latte
- Happy Singh Street Eats
- This restaurant uses a kiosk ordering system, and there is an extensive menu. My friend did the ordering for me since this is her usual spot. Everything tasted insanely flavorful.
- What we ordered: raita with aloo paratha, pav bhaji, chole bhature, momos, aloo chaat, and golgappa.
- Kafka’s Coffee Roasting
- What to get: Egg sandwich and/or Avocado toast
- This cute downtown cafe is within walking distance to the office, so it was extremely easy to grab a bite and my morning coffee to go.
- The Federal Store Luncheonette and Grocer
- Order some coffee, relax, and catch up with your friend at this cute cafe. There’s plenty of cute shops and boutiques to check out nearby.
That wraps up my shoutouts from this trip! If you end up going to any of the places mentioned above, let me know about your experience! Bon appétit.
